Welcome to my blog

I started this blog in November 2009 to record my journey back to health and fitness. I need to lose weight but as I am fairly fit (and I believe fat does not necessarily mean unfit) my main thrust now is to settle myself into a routine of healthy eating and enjoyable exercise that will sustain me into old age.

Early Start

I was up at 5:45 and out of the house by 5 past 6. Very cold and icy start and I left as soon as the car had deiced. I slid around one bend but other than that I made it to the gym in one piece.

I had a good session with my trainer, Mark, and he said that he could tell my attitude had changed.

Determination stayed with me throughout the day and I ended up banking a hundred or so calories.

A good day but it is getting colder and colder and there is heavy snow forecast.

    Can I say a well done on you determination to get to the gym. I am sure many would have just looked out the window and stayed in bed.

    By now I expect you have had some snow, we are not too bad in our part of Kent.
    Very cold and very icy.
