Welcome to my blog

I started this blog in November 2009 to record my journey back to health and fitness. I need to lose weight but as I am fairly fit (and I believe fat does not necessarily mean unfit) my main thrust now is to settle myself into a routine of healthy eating and enjoyable exercise that will sustain me into old age.

First Post

I have decided to start a blog as a diary of my journey to a sensible weight and a good fitness level.

I have had a few months nursing an ankle injury and that has led to my usual response of overeating. If my preferred routine is disrupted everything goes to pot. I haven't been able to go to the gym so I compensate for lack of exercise by eating more. You would think a mature woman would have more sense wouldn't you?
I shall use this blog as a record of my exercise, my menus and any related recipes. If anyone else is interested I hope you will follow my journal.

Today I had a bacon and cheese roll for breakfast
and Mushroom, Celery, Lentil and Corn Soup for lunch











followed by Ginger Clementines with Coconut Yogurt











and Sirloin Steak with Roasted Vegetables for supper

No snacks today as I didn't feel hungry.

No exercise today although we have been busy all day sorting out the two bedrooms and assembling the new bed.
